Angel Wings Bunting/Gown

This is a new pattern I just tried. It is designed by Mary Glynn (designer the Little Sunshine Gown that several of us have made) and is free by request here. Don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the sleeves are not attached under the arm and therefore resemble wings. It is tiny, measuring about 6" in circumference across the chest and about 9" in length. I used Bernat Baby Softee (Sport D.K.) in a pale pink color and size US 6 needles. It should fit a baby weighing 1 pound or less. The back is open for ease of dressing. Ribbon ties hold it together at the bodice and bottom.

I really like the simplicity of the design. It would be very easy to change the stitch pattern though and get a completely different look. I'm glad I finished it in time to deliver it in person to Ant and Anchely while I was on a short vacation in Utah. It was my pleasure to meet and to spend a little time with these two wonderful ladies. I'm so proud to be a part of this group.
